Update on Rhonda - Moving Day! Sunday night, October 13
Moving Day! Today Rhonda was moved out of Surgical ICU to a Step Down Room. They have removed the central line and the feeding tube. She is still on a little bit of oxygen and has an IV.. They are still treating some open wounds, giving her antibiotics, and she has two drains from her surgical incision. They are now working on getting the excess fluid off of her body, which was one of the original reasons she can into the hospital 20 days ago. She is showing great improvement and is headed in the right direction.
Tonight she was able to watch the LiveStream from our church, Faith Baptist Church in Warren, MI. Today was the first of two Missions Conference Sunday’s. She was able to watch our grandson, Caleb, be used by the missionary for an illustration as the “demon possessed boy.” I’m not sure if there is a hidden message there!
Praise the Lord for His goodness and His Grace. The doctors did not give us much hope of Rhonda surviving last Monday, but they have been amazed as God has shown Himself to be the great physician. We are thankful for the incredible medical staff here at Royal Oak Beaumont. God has used them to be ministers of healing to Rhonda, but we know it has been the Lord who has done what the doctors could not do. Words cannot express our gratitude for the hundreds, and probably thousands of Believers who have prayed for Rhonda from all around the world.
Please continue to pray for healing, for Rhonda to be able to be free from the drain tubes, for the wound to be healed, the excess fluid to be removed, and for her to have the strength to begin to sit up and then walk.
God is always good. He is only good.
