Update on Rhonda Brandenburg

Rhonda continues to make small steps in her healing and recovery. Her blood pressure has improved and stabilized. They are continuing the antibiotics to treat the infections and working on elimination the excess fluid. Her breathing has improved to the point that they removed the ventilator this morning! Praise the Lord! They will watch her for the next 24 hours before they move her to a step-down unit (out of the ICU).

The doctors have identified the underlying causes of some of her continual health issues and are treating those. They are creating a plan for improving all of these areas and then preventing them from getting to this point again. This is the fourth time she has had a major issue with the infections and the associated complications. She has a long way to go to regain her strength and mobility.

The doctors are very pleased with the progress she has made. Please pray that this trend will continue. Our son, Zach, drove over from Elgin, IL and arrived at 4:00 am Wednesday morning. Having all four of our children here has been a real encouragement to her.
